World of Warcraft World of Warcraft film will be created by Atlas Tainment's Charles "Chuck" Roven. Legendary Pictures' Thomas Tull and Raimi producer Joshua Donen. Blizzard Entertainment's senior vice president for creative and development Chris Metzen will coproduce.

No one is surprised that World of Warcraft earned more revenues over any subscription-based MMO around the globe in 2013 according to a recent report by SuperData Research. One thing that could be a surprise is it was Star Wars: The Old Republic was ranked fourth on the list.
The Blizzard-designed Star Wars MMO brought in $165 million in revenue worldwide in 2013 SuperData reports. It's quite a difference from World of Warcraft from the $1.041 billion of revenue generated by WoW in the same time frame however it's just beaten with Lineage ($253 million despite the North American servers shutting down several years ago (it first launched back in the year the year 1998) as well as TERA ($236 millions).
For the purposes of the report, "pay-to-play" MMOs are considered any
buy WoTLK Classic Gold games "that earn revenue from subscriptions, expansion packs, and microtransactions-based virtual items and services (e.g. experiences boosts, items mounts, transfer fees for servers)."
